In this episode, we give you a preview of the Meetup on 28 October 2009. It will be at 7:00 p.m. Central time at the Central Market - North location in the COMMUNITY ROOM (40th Street and Lamar--you can see a map location in earlier podcast episodes on this blog).
We hope to have new hardware there-- the Zoom Q3 video/audio portable recorder. I have ordered one, but it is backordered, and we are still hoping to have it there for the meeting. If not, we shall have it at another meeting.

We also will discuss for the new members the podcasts we have either launched or are in the process of launching, so that we may consume each others' podcast episodes.
For example, I myself have just launched this week a another podcast series called FINANCE FOR STARTUPS, which is located at http://www.finance4startups.com.

We will also discuss the direction of the Meetup and Users group with the assistance of Lindsey Allen and Michael Cohn, both members who have attended several of the meetups for the past year. They will be telling us about the Meetup Group of EXPLORING NEW MEDIA (AND PODCASTING).

We plan to have the display of hardware devices, recorders, microphones, books, etc., so that the newer members may know what is there.
Here is the tentative agenda for 28 Oct 2009:

7:00 p.m. - Display and socializing
7:30 p.m. - Review of events: BlogWorld, ProductCamp, Podcamps, Social Media Club and Breakfasts, etc.
- Review of Zoom Q3 portable recorder (hoping)
- SHARING of each others' podcasts: either in development, in launch-stage, or in production
- EXPLORING NEW MEDIA (AND PODCASTING)
- TRAINING FOR PODCASTING (for KOOP and other organizations) and the AUSTIN ENTREPRENEUR NETWORK SHORT COURSE PROGRAM - INCLUDING PODCASTING.

9:00 p.m. - Adjourn

We hope to see you there. If you have questions, you may send email to: austinpodcasters@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Fred Castaneda, Organizer for 2008 and 2009
